Context – Cutting it down to the wire

Today was crazier than I thought.  I learned of 4 songs I had to learn on the guitar for a jam session tomorrow, two of which I had never heard before.  I spent my morning listening to them as much as I could, and then had training all afternoon.

I forgot about this project until I was on the way home, talking to a friend on the phone.  I still had yet to learn the aforementioned songs, and to top it all off I had a friend coming over.

I think I may have stretched myself thin.  I think I’m wasting time with all of this expose.

The moral of the story is I had to sneak this album in while playing some video games.  I have about 5 minutes to post this.

STN MTN / Kauai is an ok album.  He’s really good at his job, but he’s all over the place on this album.  There are some trap songs, some more R&B songs that hint at what “Awaken, My Love!” would become, there are some weird “internet” tracks, for lack of a better word.

As a transitional album I’d rate this an A-, but as a standalone feature it’s a low B.  Mostly just because it’s so all over the place.  Get your copy today.
