Context – driving to an all day birthday party

And what a party it was.  And will be when we loop back in for part 4?  It’s been a day.

I’m already tuckered out.

I think I’ve made this rant before, but I don’t understand why Conor Oberst stopped being Bright Eyes.  It seemed like he was the primary driving force behind all of his music anyway, so it seems like an arbitrary distinction.  Same goes for Jack White and The White Stripes.

This album is a pretty good album–it sounds like a lot of other Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst albums.  It feels folksy and everything else we’ve come to expect from Conor Oberst over the years, but I don’t know if I’d go to this over any of the Bright Eyes records I already own.

I think I need a nap if I’m going to boot and rally tonight.  So if you like folk music or Conor Oberst in any of his iterations, check this out–you probably won’t be disappointed.
