Context – trying to avoid getting sick

I’ve either run my body into the ground these last few weeks or I’m getting sick.  As such all I want in life is like Kraft Mac-n-Cheese and a romantic comedy I’ll try to fall asleep to (but will ultimately watch twice in a row for reasons I’ve never been able to understand).  Maybe I should try getting eight hours of sleep for once.  I hear that’s good for children masquerading as adults.

I really like “Castle on the Hill”, mostly because it sounds like that blue box during a showing of Serendipity or something.  All that nostalgia I avoid like the plague hitting me in the feels (are feels still allowed in 2017?).  Still love that song.

But I forgot that Ed Sheeran likes to pretend to rap.  And that’s not good.

I also forgot that he writes mostly pop music that’s equally not good.

Every once in a while there’s a song like “Bibia Be Ye Ye” that gets me grooving despite my best intentions to keep being a hater.  That’s a nice surprise.

But outside of these two songs I’ve called out by name and maybe one or two that I’ve forgotten, this album is completely skippable.  I know, because at one point I got up to make oatmeal and forgot to hit pause.  I don’t feel like I missed much and took it as a sign that I don’t need this kind of negativity in my life.
