Emo Spring continues well into July, as Spotify’s suggested listening comes through with a solid recommendation in Bellevue Days.  I didn’t initially know how to characterize this band since I was only giving it my sometimes attention, but the subsequent playlist full of third wave emo staples like Moose Blood, Sorority Noise, and Tiny Moving Parts I know exactly how this party goes.

And this is a party I’m comfortable at.  It’s all the kids who stood along the walls at high school dances standing along the walls at a concert, occasionally throwing up a fist of support as they shout their favorite lyric, our love of the band’s newest album being one of the few things that could get us out of our rooms.  After all, it’s warm in there and all my favorite shows are on some channel, I’m sure.
